Langtang Valley is a hidden jewel of Nepal that only some people know about. However, what’s fascinating about it is that it is one of the most well-preserved natural sanctuary with in Nepal. Being home to thousands of wild animals and birds, travelers can explore some very uncharted territories of Nepal and discover the thriving life beyond the grassy landscapes that await in line for those who dare to go for trekking in this magnificent trekking region of Nepal.
Initially, our trek will have us drive away from the bustling heart of Nepal- the Kathmandu city. The drive will typically last for about 8 hours as we make our way towards Syabru Bensi. After spending the night at Syabru Bensi, we will head up in the east direction while alongside the shimmering Langtang river beside us. On our way, we will pass through several charming village communities among which places like Lama Hotel will be a delightful place to meet the locals of this area and enjoy their delicious handmade Nepalese cuisines. Continuing on, we shall now head higher to Kyanjin Gompa which is situated at a high altitude of 3,049 meters above sea level.
Kyanjin Gompa is a popular touristic village that is filled with other various touristic sites such as Yala Cheese Factory (4,633m). Furthermore, if you head a bit higher then, there is a STOL airstrip nearby Kyanjin Gompa. Likewise, we shall spend an entire day there and then head back down from Kyangjin Gompa by retracing our initial steps alongside the Langtang Khola. Then we head back to Syabru Bensi and at the end of our trek we return to Kathmandu with a drive from Syabru Bensi.
